An interview with Lord Edmiston, who provides an insight into the formation and growth of the I.M. Group.
Born in 1946, the Chairman started his career as a Bank Clerk. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
In 1976 he founded what was to become the IM Group out of the ashes of the Jensen Motor Company. Since those days and with the company coming under the full ownership of Lord Edmiston, it has expanded into other sectors including property and finance.
He is married with three children and has firm Christian beliefs. He is the founder of a charitable trust called Christian Vision and principal sponsor of three City Academy schools in the West Midlands region of the UK.
In January 2011 he was appointed to the House of Lords where he remained a member until retiring in July 2015 in order to focus primarily on his overseas charitable activities.
